That is exactly what the spider lift and the grapple saw are for. The tree comes off in short sections, each one gripped before it is cut, and lowered to the yard, not the water.
Should I grind the stumps on a steep lake lot?
Not always. Roots hold a slope, and grinding every stump on a steep Salem lot can start a wash toward the lake. We will tell you which stumps can go and which should stay, and leave what holds the bank.
