Hazardous tree removal
The first rule of quality tree care is to remove problem trees. This rids disease and decay and eliminates dangerous, dead, or undesirable trees. Trees are slow to respond to stress. Decaying bark, dying roots and branches, and wilting leaves are signs a tree is under a lot of stress and more susceptible to disease and insect issues. Trees that have been under stress for a long period of time need to be removed to prevent further damage.
Every tree has a lifespan. The closer the tree gets to the end of that lifespan, the more difficult it can become to remove. We encourage you to be proactive and call ahead if you see any sort of decay in your tree so that we can inspect it and move efficiently. As limbs die back, they are more prone to breaking when being roped down, and it's sometimes hard to tell what is going on inside of the tree. It could potentially be hollow inside. Following the removal of the tree, you can consider having the stump ground.
Voluntary tree removal
A tree does not have to be dead to have a need to be removed. It may have unfortunately been planted in the wrong place. Some of our customers have trees removed simply because they are too close for comfort, they're damaging a driveway or walkway, or they're having a project completed such as a pool put in or a home addition constructed. We can always assist with this, as well.

Questions people ask
How much does it cost to cut down my tree?
There isn't a straight answer to that question. It depends on how big the tree is, what you are wanting completed, where it is located, if it's hazardous in any way, if we are able to access it, how much roping needs to be done, and if you would like everything hauled away or left on site. So we will always need to send someone out to take a look prior to providing you with an estimate, but don't worry, estimates are free, quick, and easy.
Can you take down a tree that is right up against my house?
Yes. That is most of what we do. Trees close to a house, driveway, fence or power line are roped down in sections rather than felled, and we bring the bucket truck, spider lift or grapple saw truck depending on what will reach it with the least impact on your yard.
What happens to the wood?
Whichever you prefer. Most of the time the limbs are chipped and everything is hauled away, so it's as if the tree never existed. If you want the wood cut and left for firewood, tell us at the estimate and we will price it that way.
Will you grind the stump too?
Yes, stump grinding can be added to any removal. Think long term when having a tree removed: if you plan to seed, sod or replant the spot, grinding is the way to go.
