Yes, and carefully. On the old trees around Pendleton's village green we take only dead, broken and crossing wood, make the cuts at the collar, and never remove more than the tree can seal over. No topping, no stub cuts, no lion-tailing. If a tree is beyond saving we will say so.
Can you clear trees before we build?
Yes. We take out the trees on the footprint and the driveway, grind the stumps so the builder can grade, and haul everything off.
Can you save an old oak instead of taking it down?
Often, yes. A careful dead wooding and crown cleaning can add years to an old tree. If it is truly done, we will tell you honestly and take it down safely.
